We Made It!

Well over 3,000 miles, 8 churches, 6 different beds, 4 kids, 3 States (that we spoke in), a week of Church Camp, a wedding proposal, rear brakes, a wheel bearing and we made it home!

This summer has flown by. It was great to see many family members and friends as we traveled for 6 weeks speaking at many local churches, conference and church camp. We started our journey heading north into Canada towards Michigan. We loaded the Yukon down with as much stuff for 6 weeks as we could. My parents (Bryan) were gracious enough to come up to the NEK and spend 5 weeks with Camden and Aubrey. This allowed them both to continue to work and take care of the animals at the Stable. It was hard to be away form them for so long.

Our first stop was in Grand Rapids, MI at our National CGBCI Church Conference. While we were there we had the great joy of meeting many of our friends that we had not seen for several months and speaking at the Calvary Grace Brethren Church in Alto, MI. I also had the great pleasure of speaking at our National Conference along side Pastor Scott Libby and Pastor Ethan Kallberg. We had a great response after our presentation.

We were just getting started. After conference we traveled down to South Whitley, IN and set up a “base” for the remaining 5 weeks. We were blessed to be able to share at the Peru, Elkhart, Lakeland, Solid Rock, Orrville, and Mt. Vernon GBC. It was a great joy to fellowship with so many of the saints in our fellowship. It was also exciting to see how many of the churches have embraced the Connect, Grow, Serve mission on there own.

We also had the opportunity to travel back up to Clarksville Bible church and speak to those believers. Clarksville Bible is a church just East of Alto. Pastor Tim Bateman and I became friend while i was ministering in Alto, we met regularly to pray about each others ministries. Braiden our oldest son and his friend Dakota Grinage graciously fixed our Yukon for us. Our front wheel bearing went out and we needed rear brakes installed along with the rear AC went out (that wasn’t able to be fixed).

We had a little more excitement while back up in Michigan that weekend as well. Our oldest Son Braiden got engaged. We are excited for him and Ella’s future together. Ella is a very sweet girl. Torri and I are happy for the both of them.

After all of the excitement we traveled back down to Indiana in order to prepare for Camp Christigan. This was my last year of directing SR camp. We had 96 kids in Senior camp this year. It was sad to say goodbye for now to Camp Christigan. However I know the Lord is at work there and pray it (Camp Christigan) will continue to grow.

We have been back now for about a month and have been extremely busy implementing the Connect, Grow, Serve mission.

Stay tuned for many more update in the next few weeks. God is at work here in Vermont.
