We recently completed a combined 3,866-mile journey. No, we didn’t travel that all at once, however it was done in a span of a month and a half. The longest travel was our trip to Vermont via Pennsylvania at over 2200 miles. It has been an absolute joy to meet many of the different church bodies throughout our fellowship. Everyone has been very welcoming and supportive.
As we arrived in Vermont all of us kept saying, wow, look at that Mountain. We started asking some of the people the names of them and more often than not we would get that’s not a mountain, that’s a hill. I am sure the look on our faces were pretty humorous. When you grow up in Indiana where you can see for miles. A large hill looks like a mountain.
This reminds me of how are life can become. Do we look at God and say, that’s a mountain? Do we serve Him as the Lord He is? God calls us sometimes to climb what seems to be an impossible mountain. However, if we are faithful, we will be able to climb. It is all in what are perspective is. Do we really see God as mighty as He is or do we continually question Him? This is a question that my family and I have been asking ourselves. In a few short weeks we are going to be taking a giant leap. November 24th the moving trucks will be loaded. November 25th I will spend my last Sunday at Calvary with whom have become our family and closest friends. November 26th, Pastor Craig Noyes, brother Tom Yonker (Calvary Grace Brethren) and myself will climb in the moving trucks with my wife and kids our personal vehicle and start the journey to the Northern Kingdom.
We did find a house during our journey also. It is located just minutes away from the Irasburg GBC. As we looked and looked at houses it seemed God was directing us in that direction. We did also look into rental properties but it was just to expensive. We have a tentative closing date for November 28th.
Please pray for our transition from Michigan to Vermont, Pastor Russ Simpsons transition from Indiana to Michigan.
We are currently at 54% pledged support. Our goal is to reach the 75% mark before the move. I strongly believe God will provide. Thank you all for your support through prayer and finances.
