One Year Down

Making Old Traditions New

It has been a tradition of ours to get our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday). This year our (future) Daughter-in-Law Ella was able to join us. Braiden and Ella will be getting married in May of 2020. Praise the Lord for technology as I have the privilege to officiate their wedding and sit with them via Facebook Messenger.

Another tradition we have is placing the star on the top of the tree. Every year it is on a rotation between the kids. 2 years ago when Alex and Roxy joined our family Camden gave his turn to Alex. Last year Aubrey gave her turn to Roxy and this year was no different. Braiden gave his turn to Ella. We went form a 3 child rotation to 6.

Florian, Jenna and Treyven

Meet Florian (Flo) and Jenna Delva. Flow and Jenna starting meeting with me about 4 months ago on a weekly basis. It has been a blessing to see the Lord work in their lives. They both are currently assisting with the Irasburg GBC youth group.

Anissa Holmes

Anissa came to know the Lord back in September. She was attending one of the small groups that Pastor Scott was leading. Pastor Scott was teaching through the book of John. Anissa put her trust in the Lord and on November 24th she was baptized.

November 4, Sweet 16

My baby girl turned 16 years old a month ago. Since last year when we moved out here, she was sure her birthday would come and go. She would say I just want a barn dance here and there. Camden took that as a challenge. He had a few of the men from the church help him tear out old wooden (well built) grain bins and built a wall. It took about 2 months of hard work to complete. Camden was determined to give her a barn dance. He did just that.

Small Groups

The group above is currently meeting at the home of George and Kay Sargent. They meet on Tuesday evenings and are study the book of John with Pastor Scott.

The group below is meeting at our house. We are also going through the book of John with Pastor Scott.

Maley Small Group

Starting January 5, 2020 4-5 couples will be meeting before service. These couples are either newly married, new parents, engaged and most of them new to the church. We will be going through membership, parenting, marriage, finance and more. Please pray for this group as we meet.

Another group will also be starting to meet on Sunday nights every other week on a rotation of houses. This group will be made up of believers both members and non-members. This group will focus on living in a Godless culture and training our future leaders.

Since returning home from our 6 weeks of traveling and speaking across Indiana, Michigan and Ohio, I have had the blessing of sitting with 2 couples every week and will be starting to meet with another couple next week for a total of 3. It has been encouraging to see these couple as they grow in the Lord. Please continue to pray for these families; Delva’s, Bathalon’s and Coddings.
